Love it!

That was awesome! I always love comics and cartoons that have a "Classic 'toon" visual vibe to them, so that's a large part of why I love this - but the joke and detail is just as large a part. It's a humorous little gag; and I love the silly details, like the lightbulb in the criminals brain-splatter and the baseball in one of the cops splatter; made me chuckle seeing them. I take it the criminal was a bit brighter if he had a bulb though... :P

Great comic, mate!

ToonHole responds:

Notice the light bulb was not ON. See, it's all in the details... Hah, just kidding. You got a great eye! A lot of people I've shown this stuff to don't pick up on that

Love the painting, also...

Yeah, I really like the work you've done here. I also wish to point out something - my given name is Kadath, and it is taken from Dreamquest. It's a shame it seems to be often forgotten by even some of the real big Lovecraft fans; and I love seeing artwork inspired by the story :)

Love it.

Found this piece on your NG page after seeing the animation. This drawing is really funny; from the gigantic nose to the teeny little Conquistador hat. You are great at exaggurated features xD

Awesome

I love the painting. You definitely have talent; it requires quite a bit of it to make Awesome Snake and Bitey look creepy. I also love the expression on Salad Fingers' face, has all the erm... "charm" that he retains in the flash animations; a mix of confused innocence and underlying madness. Good job eh.

Merol responds:

THANKS A LOT!

Awesome!

I love that cute expression. Looks so carefree and cute. I wouldn't mind more actual torso (Which is what is preventing me from giving it a 9) instead of that kind of creepy sucked in area which looks like she's been wearing an industrial sized corset for far too long but that's a.. minor gripe.

Nuts in may

That's a pretty cool looking rendition, fella. I loved the dark humor (Well, dark for the time anyways) that the flick employeed. I need to read the book though D= Dammit, now I got that stupid nuts in may scene stuck in my head. Better watch out for singing trousers, they torment your ears.

I like it! =)

That's pretty damned cool. I definitely can draw comparisons to "Sucho," but this is a very different creature. While I'll admit I love Sucho's detail, this is actually creepier than Sucho in my opinion. Maybe it's because there's a lot more darkness surrounding this fellow whereas you get a much closer and brighter look at the other person.

I love the depth in the eyes. It's like staring into a void or a pair of tentacle suckers.

Cool.

This is probably the last review of your artwork because it is mostly becoming redundant in that "Despite not liking this style, especially with the faces, your artwork is good enough to overcome" is all I really ever write. I do have a little more to say about this one though.

I think this is your best piece, of the ones I've looked at so far. For one.. I actually like the face here. Still not my style, but I love the eye colour and its nice to see a drawing where the mouth is more than just a straight line. Smiles are always nice! I like the pose and the outfit, and she's wielding a scythe. Awesome. I love a girl who can kick your arse and look cute doing it. :3 The colours are also great.

Another one I don't mind.

I recently commented on one of your other pictures and noted the fact that while I'm not really a fan of this style (I refuse to call it "Anime" style, both because that's just an English word in contraction and because while I don't like the style or looks I do like many Japanese animations) your work is actually somewhat decent. Once again my only real gripe with your artwork is the face.

I replaced Oriental Beauty's face with my wife Chie's face, I think I'll replace Claire's face with my Aussie friend Emma's face. Afterall, Emma is very holy. x3 I love the outfit and I love her hair. Long hair is awesome and you picked one of my favourite colours for it.

Also, I'm not factoring this into my actual rating of this piece (That would be unfair) but a more proper spelling of Claire in the Katakana would be "Ku-re-e-a" instead of "Ku-re-ya." Sorry if I'm sounding like a smart-arse, but when I was 7 a cute little girl moved in next door who spoke a strange language and I had to take lessons from her mother in order to speak to the cute little girl who would become my wife as an adult =3

Not too shabby.

I really like the pose, and the soft colours are very nice. The outfit is neat too and you definitely get a sense of grace.

My main gripe though really just lies in the style. I don't like the face here and I've never really liked those style eyes/nose/mouth. That is really the only thing I don't like about this drawing. I kinda replace the face in my mind with say, the face of my wife Chie who herself is an Oriental beauty. ^^

I can also definitely say that looking at some of your other pieces alongside this one, it is at least better than a lot of other online artists (Both from my current homeland of Japan and from the rest of the world) who employ the style as you seem to have a better sense of anatomy.

DragonPunch responds:

Thank you very much.

You ever get the feeling like something is in your brain gnawing away at your sanity? Yeah, that's me.
